Passion for flight

Foxtrot Mike Aviation was born from Fabrizio Minelli’s passion for flight. After some initial experiences with flight simulators, his passion for flight and the aeronautical world in general grew globally. This passion involved both the fixed-wing and rotary-wing worlds Thus, air simulation groups were initially formed, today also of global importance, with friends and pilots who share the same passion. The study of various aeronautical topics thus led to an approach to real flight.

The first real flight lessons began. The alternation of different instructors conveyed the enormous possibilities linked to flight, the importance of safety, respect for the rules, the logic of air navigation and above all the magic of flight itself. A magic that from the first flight will always be repeated every time. The same magic imagined even before starting to actually fly and that every pilot knows well.

The interest in flight simulators remains strong and drives the specialization in the world of on-board systems, avionics, flight software and other related to everything a pilot can find in his cockpit and is necessary for flight. The personal passion for technology applied to flight instruments, avionics in general, makes this world increasingly interesting so much so that the in-depth study of various aircraft begins both in the civil and military fields.

The discovery of the gyrocopter

An extraordinary aircraft

As for all flight enthusiasts, visits to aeronautical museums and various air shows located in different places around the world could not be missed. In one of these air shows dedicated to ultralight aircraft, the acquaintance with an extraordinary aircraft called “autogiro” arrives. In the world, this aircraft is called in different ways: Autogiro, Gyrocopter, Gyroplane but it is always the same type of aircraft.

The aircraft designed by Juan de la Cierva in the early 1900s was born from the awareness that traditional aircraft could enter into “stall”. he Gyrocopter could not enter into stall because it flew in conditions of constant self-rotation so in the event of an engine failure the pilot could bring the aircraft to the ground safely and with little kinetic energy, thus avoiding dangerous or even fatal situations. This extraordinary aircraft is not only safe but allows an incredible flight envelope. The Gyrocopter takes off in just a few meters, lands in even less space, that is, from zero to about 20 meters. The Gyrocopter allows for very narrow maneuvering spaces, is not afraid of wind or bad weather, and is almost unaffected by turbulence. The Gyrocopter is perfect for flying safely and with fun. This aircraft truly allowed you to fly for passion in a safe and enjoyable way.

Fabrizio then approached the manufacturers of this aircraft and after collaborating with some of them, a friendship was born with the CEO of Manufaktura Lotnicza, Krzysztof Wronowski. This company produces an advanced and extraordinary Gyrocopter that, in addition to all the winning features of this aircraft, adds superior features both in terms of construction quality and load capacity and range of action possible with a single tank of fuel.

Today Foxtrot Mike Aviation is the reference for Italy and Italian Switzerland (Canton Ticino) for the products of Manufaktura Lotnicza such as the Argon GTL, Argon 915 iS gyrocopters and the ARGO AH 2.2 helicopter. Foxtrot Mike Aviation will however continue to deal with all the topics related to both civil and military flight with the various groups of enthusiasts around the world and with industry professionals.

Foxtrot Mike Aviation is a project linked to a great passion… for the flight!
